This is the website of Bastian Haase. I am a fourth year graduate student in mathematics working under the supervision of Prof. R. Parimala at Emory University.

My research area lies within algebra and algebraic geometry. More specifically, I am interested in the Brauer group of fields and schemes, quadratic forms and patching techniques. I also like to think about zero cycles and rational points as well as twisted sheaves over gerbes and their relation to the Brauer group.

As an undergrad, I was a teaching assisstant to several introductory math classes. At Emory, I taught Calculus 1 and 2 multiple times. I also gave a year long seminar about etale cohomology for graduate students.

I taught multiple times at Emory's Math Circle. Also, I offer the AMC 10/12 test at Emory to interested high school students.
