Prerequisites: No prerequisite
Grading: Grades will be based on eleven homeworks, three in-class exams and the final exam according to the following weights:
homeworks - 15%
3 in class midterms - 15% each, (45% total)
final exam - 40%
Final Grades: A: 90-100; A-: 87-89; B+: 84-86; B: 78-83; B-: 75-77; C+: 72-74; C: 66-71; C-:63-65; D+: 60-62; D: 54-59; D-: 51-53 F: 0-50.
Midterms: There will be three in-class closed-book midterm exams. Tentative dates: Fridays: September 25, October 23 and November 20.
Final: Thursday, December 10, 2009, 8:30am-11:00am, MSC W303
Homework: A number of problems will be assigned once a week. These problems will be graded.
Homework solutions: Here you find solutions of homeworks assigned so far.
Exams: There will be three midterm exams and a final exam (for dates see above). All exams will be closed book. Please note that the date and the time of the final exam cannot be changed.
Honor Code: The Emory Honor Code will be in effect during all exams.
Note: You can bring one legal pad page containing formulas, to exams. You will be allowed to use calculators on the exams.
