The final grade will be determined as:
60% Tests, 20% Quizzes, 20% Final exam

The final exam will be given during the final exam period,
Monday, May 5, 8:30--11:00

| Quizzes |
|
There will be 10 quizzes
given on the following dates:
Jan. 24, 31, Feb. 7, 21, 28, Mar. 20, 27, Apr. 3, 17, 24
The quizzes will be short, one or two problems, and will be
closely related to assigned practice problems.
You can drop
your two lowest quiz scores. A make up will not be given if
a quiz is missed -- this will be one that you can drop.

No homework will be collected in this class. However, a list
of assigned
practice problems
will be provided for each section
covered in the class. You are strongly recommended to do
all of these problems. Furthermore, you are welcome, and encouraged,
to discuss and work on
the problems with classmates.
