Teaching
Currently (spring semester 2010) I'm teaching one section of Math 221, Linear Algebra. Here is
a link to other courses I've taught in the past.
Research interests
Number theory, arithmetic geometry, with an
emphasis on explicit methods;
currently, the Brauer-Manin obstruction
on K3 surfaces, as well as torsion points on elliptic
curves.
Papers
Brauer-Manin obstructions on genus-2 K3 surfaces, in preparation.
Torsion points on CM elliptic curves (with P. L. Clark and J. Stankewicz), in preparation.
Tate-Shafarevich groups and K3
surfaces, Math. Comp. 79 (2010), 563-581.
The Brauer-Manin obstruction on Del Pezzo
surfaces of degree 2, Proc. London Math. Soc. 95 (2007), no. 3, 735-777.
Del Pezzo surfaces and
the Brauer-Manin obstruction, Ph.D. thesis, U.C. Berkeley, 2005.
Del Pezzo surfaces of
degree 6, Math. Res. Lett. 12 (2005), no. 1, 75-84.
Errata for this paper.
Slides
Del Pezzo surfaces and the Brauer-Manin
obstruction, slides from an invited talk I gave at a
special session of the AMS in analytic number theory and modular
forms in November 2006.
Brauer-Manin obstructions on K3 surfaces and Sha for
genus-2 Jacobians, slides from a talk I gave at the 2009 AMS Joint
Meetings.
