Travel directions
We hope that participants will arrive sometime on Tuesday, 15 May, and depart the evening of Sunday, 20 May (or later).
By plane: Fly to the Atlanta airport (ATL). It is easiest to take a taxi or shuttle from the airport. In either case, you will go out the doors marked "ground transportation". A taxi stand--marked by a theater rope--will be directly in front of you. Tell the driver to take Briarcliff to North Decatur Road. This will take you to the 5-way intersection ("Emory Village") mentioned below.
If you insist, you can take the subway; there is a station in the airport. But it is difficult to get from the subway to Emory.
By car:
  1. Get to the 5-way intersection at Emory Village (Starbuck’s and Everybody’s on one side, Emory on the other). Here are links to it: Mapquest | Google
  2. Drive through the obvious archway into Emory.
  3. Immediately on your LEFT, there is a visitor's parking lot. (Pay by the hour.  For free parking, see below.)  You should be able to park in this lot. In addition to the usual spots, it is OK to park next to the curb inside this lot, as long as you are not blocking traffic.
  4. This lot borders precisely two buildings: B. Jones and the Math & Science Center. We are the one with 4 or 5 stories.
Alternate/free parking: You can also park in the Peavine Parking Deck. To get there, continue along the road through Emory (passing the math building on your left and the concrete White Hall on your right). Take a RIGHT at the T/stop sign. Take a LEFT at the next stop sign. The Peavine deck is the obvious parking garage on your LEFT.  It will be free during the conference (16-20 May).  Just drive in!
