Courses
Every semester, we offer --- of course --- the first-year graduate algebra course (Algebra I & II, a.k.a. Math 521 & 522). The third semester of the algebra sequence (Algebra III, a.k.a. Math 520) is given in the fall or spring semester. Usually it covers basic algebraic geometry & commutative algebra and is taught by the same professor who taught Algebra I & II the previous year.

Additionally, we try to offer a one-semester advanced topics course (Math 788R) every year. Here is a schedule of future and past 788R's:
07 fall: elliptic curves (Parimala)
07 spring: Galois cohomology (Parimala)
06 fall: Algebraic number theory (Brussel)
06 spring: Computational algebraic geometry (Powers)
03 fall: Algebraic geometry (Brussel)

Most semesters we also have a participating seminar in algebra (Math 578R). Here are some seminar schedules from current and past semesters: spring 07, fall 06, fall 05, spring 05, fall 04, spring 04, spring 03.
